Antonio Conte is expected to make a move for Romelu Lukaku as soon as he appointed as Inter Milan's new manager.

The Italian attempted to sign the Belgian in 2017 when he was manager of Chelsea, but he opted to leave Everton for Manchester United.

United are willing to part with Lukaku after he fell out of favour with manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer.

The Times says Inter's desire to sign Lukaku has increased with the imminent arrival of Conte, who is expected to take over from Luciano Spalletti for the club's last game of the season.

Inter have attempted to include United long-term target Ivan Perisic in their offer for 26-year-old Lukaku.
