Conte satisfied with Chelsea match-winner Fabregas

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was pleased with how Cesc Fabregas performed in Tuesday night's EFL Cup triumph.

The Spanish midfielder made just his second start of the season as the Blues came from two goals down to beat Leicester City 4-2 in the third round.

Fabregas was the hero for Chelsea with two goals in extra-time to send them through to the next stage of the league cup and although understated with his response, Conte appeared delighted for the 29-year-old.

"I am pleased for Cesc," said the Italian.

"He played a good game and he showed me in this period great attitude and commitment during the training sessions and when I call him during the game to come on.

"I'm satisfied when I see this behaviour.

"This is the right way. I want my players to create good competition in the team and game by game give me the opportunity to choose the best line-up."
