Conte personality pushed Liverpool duo Oxlade-Chamberlain, Van Dijk to reject Chelsea

Liverpool duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Virgil Van Dijk did not go to Chelsea because of Antonio Conte.

The Reds stars are key reasons why the team is about to win the Premier League title at a canter, especially Van Dijk.

And the two could have gone to Chelsea right before Conte's second season in charge of the club, when they had just won the title themselves.

The Athletic reports that Conte's reputation as a hot head put off players such as The Ox and Van Dijk from moving to the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain did not want to play as a wing back for Conte, while Van Dijk had issues about stories he was hearing regarding Conte's relationship with the players and management.

The duo eventually went to the Reds and the rest is history.
