Conte oversees first Chelsea victory

Antonio Conte guided Chelsea to a comfortable 3-0 win over RZ Pellets WAC on Wednesday evening to open his winning account with the West Londoners.

The Blues were served by goals from three youngsters as they overpowered the Austrian side in their second pre-season friendly.

Bertrand Traore opened the scoring five minutes before half-time when converting a Willian cross at the second attempt before Ruben Loftus-Cheek beat the Pellets keeper to a Victor Moses corner to head home in the 84th minute.

The contest was wrapped up with the final kick of the game when Nathaniel Chalobah raced into the area and fired across the keeper to make it 3-0, atoning for the Blues' 2-0 defeat to Rapid Vienna on Saturday.

£33million signing Michy Batshuayi replaced Diego Costa in the second half and was lively during his thirty-minute cameo which certainly would have given him plenty of confidence.

Conte started with Asmir Begovic in goal, Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Papy Djilobodji and Ola Aina across the back, Willian, Nemanja Matic, Oscar and Victor Moses in midfield and Traore and Costa up front.

The substitutes used were Baba Rahman, Michael Hector, Loftus-Cheek, Batshuayi, Chalobah, Christian Atsu, John Obi Mikel, Kenedy and Matt Miazga.

Chelsea's next pre-season match takes place against Liverpool at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on July 27 as part of the 2016 International Champions Cup.
