Conte contemplating bringing PSG striker Cavani to Chelsea

Antonio Conte wants Edinson Cavani at Chelsea if he is appointed in the role as manager of the West London club.

According to the Daily Mail, the current Italy boss is determined to lure some big names to Stamford Bridge if he make this way there this summer and Paris Saint-Germain striker Cavani is on the agenda.

Cavani's future in Paris remains in doubt and he could be lured away from Parc des Princes if the right opportunity rose.

Conte is a long-time admirer of the Uruguay international who he knows from the player's stint in Italy with Palermo and Napoli and could be tempted to go after him in the next transfer window as he looks to reshape the Chelsea squad he is set to inherit.

Doubts remain over Diego Costa, who is wanted by former club Atletico Madrid, and the Blues are looking at alternatives in case he does happen to depart at the end of the current campaign.
