Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and technical director Fabio Paratici are holding talks about the team's future.
The Italian manager is reluctant to commit to another season at Spurs without assurances about transfer targets.
According to the Daily Mail, Paritici is in Italy to convince Conte to continue, as the two men plot out players that Spurs can target this summer.
Conte is very eager to sign one or two centre-backs, a backup goalkeeper, a wing-back for the left-hand side, and a midfielder.
Spurs could sell any number of players to fund these purchases, including Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Sergio ReguilonDavinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon.
Conte guided Spurs to fourth place in the Premier League, pipping rivals Arsenal to the final Champions League spot.
