Conte a step away from leaving Inter Milan; furious with players sale plan

Antonio Conte is a step away from leaving Inter Milan, it has been sensationally revealed today.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Conte will soon be leaving Inter Milan. It could happen in the next 48 hours - barely a fortnight since leading the club to a first Scudetto in ten years.

The trigger was a personal conversation between Inter's directors and Conte that recently took place. The coach was informed of the plans for the summer transfer market, which left Conte angry and frustrated.

The new Italian champions, due to owners Suning's financial problems, wants to reduce the salary budget by 15-20 per cent.

In addition, a transfer surplus of €100m must to be achieved through sales. The top performers courted by other clubs such as Romelu Lukaku (28), Achraf Hakimi (22) and Lautaro Martínez (23) are suddenly considered saleable assets.

The decisions have left Conte stunned and he is now ready to walk - and as early as THIS WEEK.
