Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihan has spoken of the offers he had in the Championship.
He told Going Up, Going Down EFL podcast: "There were some clubs that said If I saw my contract out they'd sign me on a free in the summer. This was way back in the December time.
"Would I have wanted to go down to London with Fulham at the time? I wasn't sure.
"Then, around Christmas time, Bruce and Villa came in and I just thought, 'I can't turn down Villa!'
"You never know what would have happened if I stayed to see out my contract, I could have got injured, could have lost form.
"Villa felt the right fit. It wasn't too far away from Sheffield where I was quite settled and loved the city living there. It felt like the right club."
