Kenny Connolly has declined to renew his Motherwell contract and left the club. The 21-year-old midfielder had signed a six-month contract extension in the summer after recovering from a broken leg.

Connolly said: "It is very difficult to leave the club after so many enjoyable years here. But there is a time when first-team football is a necessity and I am now at that point."
