Former Liverpool and Tottenham technical director Damien Comolli has been named president of Toulouse.

Comolli replaces Olivier Sadran after TFC were bought by American investment fund RedBird Capital Partners.

Toulouse were relegated to L2 last season and Comolli declared at yesterday's presentation: "We come together on an obsession with progress and creating a high performance environment.

"It is a club that could be developed in the future, in terms of infrastructure to improve, the stadium, the relationship with the supporters, the athletes, the field and training.

"All the potential was identified and present.

"The TFC has a strong training centre. We are eighth in France. The training centre is strong."
