Celtic midfielder Kris Commons believes his manager Neil Lennon would only be named Manager of the Year if the Glasgow giants won the Champions League.
The Northern Irishman guided the Hoops to a third straight Scottish Premiership title this season but was overlooked for the PFA award which went to Aberdeen's Derek McInnes.
Last season, Queen of the South's Allan Johnston beat Lennon to the prize which suggests to PFA Scotland Player of the Year Commons that perhaps the Glasgow giants have to salute on the European stage in order for his boss to be recognized.
"I think he was unlucky more so last year," said Commons.
"For a manager to do what he did last year was nothing short of a miracle.
"But he might get it if we win the Champions League."
