Columbus Crew's Higuain killed us - NYRB keeper Robles

New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles was impressed by the performance of Federico Higuain on the weekend.

The Argentine striker scored both goals as Columbus Crew defeated the Red Bulls 2-0 at the Columbus Crew Stadium and his output was certainly not lost on Robles who was impressed by the home side's attacking line.

"You can see that the whole game [Higuain's impact on the match], there's a reason why he's featured here - he's definitely got, not only the ability to change the game, but his runs today killed us," said Rolbes.

"I think it's a great combination they have with (Dominic) Oduro, (Jairo) Arrieta, and Higuain - and he [Higuain] just took advantage of the chances he got, so lots of credit to him."

Higuain opened the scoring in the 61st minute when he fired straight down the centre of goal from the penalty spot after Markus Holgersson was questionably penalised for a push on Chad Marshall.

The older brother of Napoli's star signing Gonzalo Higuain then added a second with just over ten minutes remaining with a stunning chip over Robles from outside the area.
