Colorado Rapids new boy Doyle: We would always ask Keane about MLS

Colorado Rapids striker Kevin Doyle has revealed that Robbie Keane has been a constant source of knowledge regarding Major League Soccer.

The 31-year old former Reading and Wolves striker has officially linked up with the Rapids after signing a Designated Player contract in March and suggests that LA Galaxy and Republic of Ireland captain Keane has opened the eyes of a lot of British and Irish players who are fascinated by MLS.

"Lots of footballers are sort of intrigued by the MLS in England and the UK, so we'd always be quizzing Robbie on it," Doyle said in the Denver Post.

"He's from day one loved it, so it was something I thought maybe one day, if I get the chance ... It feels like a good time to be coming here."
