MLS club Colorado Rapids have beaten the Premier League's Swansea City 2-1 in a summer friendly at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Tuesday.
The Rapids took a very early lead on an extremely hot night in Commerce City with Andre Akpan slotting home Luis Zapata's curling cross from the left inside four minutes.
About ten minutes later, Colorado went two ahead when Kamani Hill was given room to move outside the area before finishing off the post from 20 yards.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup made ten changes at half-time and it paid dividends as loan signing Jonathan de Guzman gave the visiting side some hope with a brilliant free-kick finish in the 79th minute.
But the Welsh side were unable to grab an equalizer as the Swansea are under Laudrup began with defeat whilst Colorado broke a five-game losing streak in the league.
