Colorado Rapids first-ever Designated Player Gabriel Torres kicked off his career with the club with a goal on debut for the reserves.
The Panama international scored the match-winner in the Rapids' second side's 2-1 victory over Chivas USA on Monday is now likely to make his MLS debut against Vancouver Whitecaps this weekend.
Torres joined Colorado last week to become the Denver club's first DP after starring for Panama at the CONCACAF Gold Cup earlier this summer.
