Colombia coach Carlos Queiroz admits he's "very excited" to see what Brighton midfielder Steven Alzate can do.
The London-born Albion midfielder was named in a final 23-man squad for friendlies against Peru and Ecuador.
He joins Amiens forward Steven Mendoza as a headline-making call-up for the two fixtures in the USA.
Queiroz said: “In the different squads we have given priority to some players and this time it was Alzate and Mendoza's turn.
“I've been watching them and both fill positions which are open in the national team.
“I'm very excited about Alzate because he is playing very well and, as a midfielder, he has the characteristics which suit the needs of this team."
