Collymore questions Wenger's recent work at Arsenal

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore feels Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has failed to adjust to the changes in the Premier League.

Collymore wrote in the People: "There has to be concern that Wenger could find himself looking back on a decade without silverware. And that would be extraordinary.

"Arsene seems to have lost sight of what Premier League football is about. The tempo and aggression it takes to win titles and trophies is no longer a major trait in his team.

"I reckon that he's spent too much time trying to replicate a Barcelona-style philosophy that was never going to work in this country.

"The stubbornness to realise that could bite him on the backside because in the years he has had to find a new method of playing the game, he has not adapted."
