Despite their Carling Cup defeat, Seamus Coleman was delighted to hit his first goal for Everton in their loss to Brentford.
The Toffees were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Brentford on penalties.
Irish fullback Coleman told Absolute Radio: "Yeah, obviously, you know, after five or six minutes I got my first goal and it was great for me, you know, but at the end of the game really to be honest it didn't mean an awful lot.
"You know, we didn't get to win, it would have been nice to get my first goal when we won, but it wasn't to be. At the time it was a brilliant feeling, you know, to score in an Everton shirt, get my first goal, but as I said, after the game I wasn't thinking about that, I would have easily given up that goal if we'd got the win."
