Everton fullback Seamus Coleman says they're prepared for the plastic pitch at Europa League opponents Young Boys.
Coleman says the pre-match preparations will allow the Toffees to hit the ground running against Uli Forte's side.
He said: "We've been to a local artificial pitch to get used to the surface and hopefully that will help us to settle into the game quickly on Thursday.
"We're obviously not that used to playing on those types of surfaces, but I've played a game for Republic of Ireland against the Faroe Islands in the last qualifying campaign. It is different - but once we get going, hopefully everyone can settle into it and we can get a positive result.
"[Training on an artificial pitch] has helped us get used to what we're going to be facing in terms of the bounce of the ball and little things like that. We will have a night of training on the pitch before the game as well, so hopefully we'll be used to it and there won't be any excuses."
