Former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli says they must keep hold of Paulo Dybala.
Dybala and Juve are in drawn out new contract talks, with negotiations at an impasse.
Cobolli Gigli told TMW: "In my opinion, Dybala is not yet (a true No10). At least he is not as in the past, for example, Platini or Del Piero. But with the help and work of Pirlo he can certainly become one.
"He is a champion and in his return to the field with Napoli he proved it. The Juventus of the future, in my view, should be built precisely on Paulo Dybala with the others around talented players, from Chiesa to Cuadrado. But without Cristiano Ronaldo."
On new the contract talks, Cobolli Gigli says Juve shouldn't dither.
"The economic situation, for Juventus but not only for Juventus, is complex. But in the negotiations 1 or 2 million does not make so much of a difference. Let's say that I would recommend it warmly."
