Flamengo chiefs are exploring the prospect of signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is a free agent after his contract with Manchester United was terminated this week.

Veja says Brazilian giants Flamengo are looking to sign Ronaldo.

The report claims that although Flamengo have not yet been in discussions with the 37-year-old's representatives, they are currently talking to their sponsors to organise a financial package to tempt him.

A deal could be put in place in time for Ronaldo to be registered for the Club World Cup. Fla and Real Madrid will enter tournament as favourites to meet in the final.
