Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba is eager to see a deal with Aston Villa rubberstamped.

HLN says Nakamba has gone AWOL from Club Brugge's preseason as he waits for Villa to settle terms.

The Premier League new boys made an £11m offer for the midfielder last month - which fell short of Brugge's assessment.

Nakamba is hopeful of Villa trying again in the coming days.

In the meantime, the Zimbabwe international remains AWOL from the club for a week now.
