In signing for Manchester City, Gael Clichy is set to deliver a snub to not only Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger - but modern-day legend Thierry Henry.
Clichy is expected to join City in the coming days for a £7 million fee.
The Daily Mail says Clichy, 25, has resisted interest from Liverpool and abroad to agree a move to City.
Former Arsenal favourite Henry, now of New York Red Bulls, has been advising Clichy, and urged him to remain at the Emirates, but the France defender has refused to renew a contract that runs out next summer.
