Clichy seeks Man City improvement in wake of West Ham draw

Manchester City defender Gael Clichy wants better performances from his side following the 2-2 draw against West Ham United on Saturday.

City earned a hard-fought draw against West Ham at the Boleyn Ground and the Citizens could have easily come away with nothing from the clash as the Hammers were arguably the better team on the day.

French left-back Clichy was not entirely happy with City's overall performance and has challenged his side to improve during the upcoming matches if they want to seriously challenge for the title.

Speaking to City TV, Clichy said: "I think we can always do better. We conceded a couple of goals which tells you we can do better. Overall our performance was good but the second goal killed us a bit as we were on top of them. But that's what happens if you don't take your chances.

"It's a hard place to go. We wanted the three points and we didn't get them, but we will take the positives. I'm not surprised at how good West Ham were, they are a great team with great players. But we can do better and we have to do better."
