Everton midfielder Tom Cleverly has set his sights on a return to the top five in the Premier League.
The Toffees produced a fifth-pace finish in 2013/14 but dropped off the pace last term before managing to snare 11th spot late in the campaign.
Upon making the move to Goodison Park from Manchester United, via a loan at Aston Villa, Cleverley is hoping his influence can help the Merseyside club return to the top echelon of teams in England's top flight.
"As a club, we have got to try and improve on last season and reach the heights of the previous season when they finished fifth," he said.
"And it would be good to get on a cup run."
Everton are currently in Singapore for the Barclays Asia Trophy which kicks off against Stoke City on Wednesday night.
