Clement: Swansea striker Gomis will return from loan spell with Marseille

As far as Swansea manager Paul Clement knows, Bafetimbi Gomis will return to the Swans after his loan spell with Marseille finishes at the end of the season.

Gomis has had a stellar season for Marcelo Bielsa's side since arriving last summer. The 31-year has bagged 20 goals in Ligue 1, and has recently suggested to the French media that his move might become permanent.

But Clement, who has helped steer Swansea to Premier League safety after taking over the reigns in January, insists he wants his players back for pre season before making any decisions.

"The last thing I saw, he was keen to stay where he was, but now we are staying in the Premier League it could be an attractive proposition for him to come and play back here," Clement said.

"Bafe is the one (loan) player I have not spoken to. But there are possibilities.

"When I spoke to Matty Grimes and Kyle Bartley at Leeds, I said 'you're Swansea players' and before I look anywhere else I'm going to look at what we have got from within.

"We want people back pre-season to train and we will go from there."
