Cincinatti general manager Gerard Nijkamp admits the club will have to speak with Brighton over Jurgen Locadia.
The Dutch striker is on loan until July 1, but the suspension of the MLS until May 10 is closing down the window for him to impress.
Nijkamp told eu.cincinatti.com: "This is such a special situation that I will use the next 24 or 48 hours to come in contact with Brighton and Hove Albion because that is very important party in this.
"We don't have only Jurgen and FC Cincinnati but the most important party, a stakeholder, is Brighton & Hove Albion.
"And to discuss this specific situation and see what could be beneficial to all of us when we take this in mind.
"This (pandemic) is not only happening in the United States but also in England, this is in the world, so this will also affect the summer transfer window for all of us.
"As professionals, I have to talk with them. I think they want to have a conversation also with me and I will do that in the next couple of days, to put it on the table to try to find a solution about what's in the best interest of all of us."
