Cillessen confident Ajax pair De Ligt, De Jong would welcome Barcelona move

Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has no doubts Ajax pair Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong would be happy to move to the Nou Camp.

All three have been away with the Holland squad this past week.

Speaking with Sport , Cillessen says both players would be eager to join Barca: "Yes, all my teammates would love to play at Barça because it is one of the best teams in the world."

On De Ligt, he said: "Physically he is a very strong player, but mentally too. There is more to see from the match he played the other day against Germany in the Nations League: things did not go well in the first half, but he recovered to play an excellent second half, and all that at 19 years old. He also comes from playing a magnificent match against Bayern in the Champions League, starting for Ajax."

On De Jong, Cillessen said: "In the Dutch team he plays in the position that (Sergio) Busquets usually occupies with Barça. But Busquets is still at another level: he is a player undervalued by many people."
