Gabriel Farfan has made it vehemently clear that he wants to become a quality player in Mexico's top flight.
The 25-year old midfielder is on a six-month loan with Chiapas FC from MLS side Chivas USA and has revealed that he is using his time in southern Mexico as a way to win a permanent deal somewhere in Liga MX.
"I was down here for a couple of years in the youth team at Club América and I didn't get to debut there, so after that I went to MLS and I always had it in the back of my mind to debut in the first division in Mexico," Farfan, who has yet to debut for los Jaguares, told MLSsoccer.com.
"Basically, it's like a showcase for me. I don't have much time on my contract with MLS, so hopefully after that I can find a suitor down here.
"My main goal is to make a name for myself in the Mexican league."
