Chivas USA head coach Chelis has revealed that he did not know anything about Juan Agudelo's trade to New England Revolution.
The 20-year old forward was sent to New England in exchange for allocation money and although Goats boss Chelis was none the wiser, he took a philosophical approach to the move.
"In reality, (the Chivas officials) did not let me know, but nor is that important," Chelis said.
"What is important is what they are planning to do, that's what I'm thinking about. Let's wait and see."
However, Chelis did say that he often speaks with Dennis te Kloese, sporting director for both Chivas USA and Chivas de Guadalajara, about the clubs plans.
"I've had calls at least once a week with Dennis and he will ask me something or I will ask him something," he added.
"I understand that not everyone is the owner, president or director of a soccer team. Thus, if they take that decision [to get a player], the only thing I have to do is support it and hope for the best for the team I lead."
