Chinese interest arrives for Newcastle pair Jonjo Shelvey and Dwight Gayle

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce faces a transfer threat from the Far East.

The Sunday People says Newcastle pair Jonjo Shelvey and Dwight Gayle would be tempted by a big-money move to the Chinese Super League.

While both players are believed to be happy on Tyneside, it's suggested that they could be open to a move to the Far East.

Former Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez and striker Salomon Rondon are currently in China with Dalian Yifang.

Gayle, particularly, has found himself sidelined at Newcastle this season.
