China's Desports eyeing Crystal Palace takeover

Crystal Palace are being eyed off by the owners of Granada.

The Times says there is interest in Palace from Double Edged Sports, known as Desports, a Chinese marketing company that already owns La Liga side Granada.

It is being reported that Desports have not made a formal bid, but that intermediaries acting on behalf of Jiang Lizhang have approached Palace's American investors David Blitzer and Joshua Harris about their 36 per cent share of the club.

Lizhang, like Blitzer and Harris, is involved in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in America, with Desports having a stake in the Minnesota Timberwolves, while the Americans own the Philadelphia 76ers.
