China coach Lippi compares himself to three Serie A coaches

China coach Marcello Lippi has compared himself to three Serie A coaches.

Lippi says “all three" of Max Allegri, Luciano Spalletti and Carlo Ancelotti remind him of himself.

“Would you believe me if I said all three?" Lippi replied, speaking to Corriere dello Sport.

“Perhaps the analogies with Allegri are most numerous. He, like me, arrived at Juve at 46 and also like me he won the league on his first attempt.

“We both have Tuscan roots, as does Luciano. If you think about it, all three now how to make a squad, transmit positivity, read a game and face up to different moments.

“Ancelotti probably has the advantage of being both a player and a Coach for big teams, which winning is an obligation and losing is a disgrace. He knows what it means.

“Carlo is taking the team in his hands, involving everyone and making them feel important. In the decisive phase of the season there'll be synthesis, you'll see.

“He hasn't thrown away [Maurizio] Sarri's work, he's kept the best elements and added his own.

“As for Inter, the difference to the past is self-belief. Five, six victories in a row can change the mentality and objectives of a group.

“Inter are aware of their strength now, they know they can get a result at any time. Spalletti has made everyone feel involved, just like Ancelotti.
