Chievo coach D'Anna: Ronaldo intimidating for my players

Chievo Verona coach Lorenzo D'Anna felt his players were "intimidated" facing Cristiano Ronaldo during their defeat to Juventus.

Juve edged a five-goal thriller in Verona.

And D'Anna stated afterwards: "There are regrets over the result, but it remains a very good performance.

“We started out rather intimidated by Juventus and by Cristiano Ronaldo, but as time went on we settled and created our opportunities.

“I tried to contain Juve on the right flank and push more down the left. There was some tension, inevitably for our first home game of the season against the reigning Serie A Champions, but once that wore off, we played well.

“We need to work on our defending from set plays, although like everything that will take time. We are trying to be more solid."
