Chicago Fire look to bank for new training centre

Chicago Fire have signed a title sponsorship deal with PrivateBank for their new training centre, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The 'multi-year' agreement will see the facility - a 140,000 square foot bubble dome on the North Side of Chicago, with two full-sized artificial pitches - named the PrivateBank Fire Pitch.

PrivateBank will have its branding prominently displayed on the side of the dome. It will also become a presenting sponsor of one of the club's home MLS games and receive in-stadium signage at Toyota Park, as well as supporting community tournaments in suburban Chicago.

The financial terms of the deal were not released.

"From day one it was important to sell the naming rights to the facility," said Chicago Fire chief operating officer Atul Khosla. "It says a lot about the growth of the sport."

The PrivateBank Fire Pitch was installed at a reported cost of US$15 million to US$20 million and will host youth team training programmes and local private amateur leagues as well as Chicago Fire training sessions.
