Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire have announced a 2014 friendly with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
The Fire will host the north Londoners at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois on Saturday, July 26 next year in what is a major coup for the MLS team.
"In Chicago, the Fire proudly represents the global game," said Chief Operating Officer Atul Khosla.
"Making the investment to bring a club like Spurs to Toyota Park demonstrates our continued commitment to facilitating the growth of soccer.
"We welcome the opportunity to showcase Chicago Fire soccer to a broader base of soccer fans, not only here at home, but also those from around the globe."
The fixture comes a week after Spurs take on Fire's MLS rivals Seattle Sounders.
