Hull City are still interested in signing Chicago Fire star Shaun Maloney, Steve Bruce has confirmed.

Bruce is looking to ramp up his pursuit of transfer targets, with only two weeks remaining in the summer transfer window and it is believed that signing Maloney ranks high on the priority list for the 54-year old.

Chicago Fire have made it clear that they do not want to sell Maloney but Bruce has now gone on to state that he is still interested in signing the former Celtic star.

"We are still in touch with Chicago Fire but all is quiet at the moment," the City boss said after City's league cup victory over Stanley.
