Chesterfield have signed Middlesbrough midfielder Graeme Owens on-loan.

Owens can operate on either wing, although the right-hand side is his natural position.

The 19-year-old, who was a member of Boro's 2004 FA Youth Cup-winning side, made his debut for the Premier League club as a substitute in the Carling Cup third round tie against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in August.
