According to reports Chelsea have been rebuffed in their £14m move for Everton youngster Jack Rodwell. Chelsea are now permitted to sign players in January after FIFA agreed to suspend their two-window transfer ban for the controversial signing of Gael Kakuta from Lens.
The 18-year-old has made 18 appearances for Toffees this season and is reportedly being tracked by both Manchester clubs, but Chelsea are the first club to register a formal interest.
Rodwell only signed a five-year contract at Goodison Park in February but David Moyes is determined to keep him at the club for at least another twelve months.
