Chelsea's Ballack shocked by Enke loss

Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack admits he's shocked by the death of Robert Enke.

Hanover star Enke threw himself in front of an express train after leaving a suicide note on Tuesday night. His widow Teresa revealed last night that he had been suffering from depression since 2003.

Germany have called off Saturday's planned friendly with Chile in Cologne.

Ballack, the German captain, attended a church service in Hanover last night - broadcast live on national TV - with coach Joachim Low and other officials.

Chelsea star Ballack said Enke's death had left him "completely stunned - words fail me."
