Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka is upset with the timing France's international friendlies.

France play international friendlies against Nigeria and Tunisia this week. And FA Cup winner Anelka said he would rather be on a beach than a football pitch this week.

"But with my club, we start pre-season training on July 6. They don't take into account the France team so we lose a week of holiday and that's what bothers me," he said. "I'm not sure matches before holidays help preparation. But it's the France team and it's always good to wear the shirt."
