Chelsea midfielder Jordan Hughton enjoyed a winning debut with Gillingham yesterday.

Houghton was handed a full 90 by Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh as they won 4-0 over Sheffield United.

Ediburgh beamed: “We were up against some very good players. They are fancied to gain promotion out of this league and rightly so but credit to this young group.

“Infront of a big crowd, against the favourites for the league, we had a young, young side and they made me immensely proud.”
