Chelsea youngster Feruz eyeing Hibernian exit

Chelsea striker Islam Feruz is planning to cut short his loan spell at Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, according to The Express.

The 20-year-old has only made five substitute appearances for the Edinburgh side since his temporary move in the summer and is frustrated at the lack of playing opportunities.

Several Championship clubs such as Brentford, MK Dons, Leeds United, Preston North End and Wolves have already expressed their interest in a loan deal for the Somalia-born starlet.

Hibs boss Alan Stubbs hinted earlier this month that Feruz could cut short his season-long spell at Easter Road.

"If he decides that he wants to go back to Chelsea then that will be his decision, but my preferred option would be for him to stay and fight for his place," said Stubbs.

"If he goes back it will be not through ourselves. We are not looking at anyone leaving, but I can understand that Izzy [Feruz] would have liked more game time."
