Chelsea's Nathan Ake admits it is a childhood dream of his to play for Holland.

The 21-year-old defender was born in The Hague to an Ivorian father in 1995, making him eligible to represent the Ivory Coast.

But the ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord academy product has played for the Oranje at U15, 16, 17, 19 and 21 levels and says he would love to play for his country despite the interest of the Elephants.

“There has been some interest from the Ivory Coast but I want to try and progress with Holland," he told the Daily Mail.

“It would be a dream to play for Holland. Hopefully they're watching."
