Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has arrived in Italy and is set to join AS Roma on a loan deal.

The Egypt international, who starred on loan for Fiorentina in the second half of last season, was seen at Fiumicino airport in Rome on Wednesday.

Roma are set to pay £1.4million in loan fees with a buyout figure of £16m for the pacey winger.

Salah's agent Ramy Abbas confirmed the move to KingFut.com: "Sure, after the results of the medical are concluded, they can take one to two days.

"Furthermore, Salah will only accept a loan where the club has an obligation to buy him, not an option to buy him. "Lots and lots of teams were interested in Salah."
