Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is set to join Championship side Newcastle United on a season-long loan move, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims that the Magpies have already agreed on a deal for the 24-year-old which includes an option to buy.

The Ghana international signed for the Blues from Porto in 2013 but has failed to make an appearance for the West London club.

Atsu spent last season on loan with both Bournemouth and Malaga following temporary stints wth Vitesse Arnhem and Everton.
