Chelsea are prepared to wait until the summer to sign Ajax fullback Gregory van der Wiel.

Departing football chief Frank Arnesen confirmed their interest in Van der Wiel earlier this month.

The Telegraph says Chelsea want Ajax right-back Van der Wiel but may wait until the summer, when the club are still expected to sell Jose Bosingwa.

It is understood that, for now, Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking for another attacking player.
