Ex-Arsenal forward Paul Mariner has stated his belief that Chelsea will be signing Leonardo Bonucci this summer.

Bonucci has strongly been linked with a move to Chelsea recently and Mariner believes that Conte will sign the Italian international in the coming weeks, even if it means breaking the world record fee for a defender.

Mariner said on ESPN FC of a potential deal for Bonucci: "That (raising the fee) is the key. Juventus will hold out for as much money as possible.

"There's no doubt that if Conte wants to play the way that he likes to play, that is the man that he wants, he is the kingpin of that back three.

"I think Conte will get him, I think Abramovich will help him to get him. I think he'll go, I think it would be a great move. I would love to see him in the Premier League."
