Chelsea must qualify for the Champions League if they're to sign wantaway Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
Chelsea are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old this summer and are preparing to launch a bid for the forward.
But BILD's head of sport, Christian Falk, reports Havertz wants to leave the German outfit in search of Champions League football.
This comes after Chelsea's pursuit of a top-four finish was damaged on Saturday after they fell to a heavy 3-0 defeat against high-flying Sheffield United.
Should Leicester beat Bournemouth on Sunday and Manchester United take all three points against Southampton on Monday, Chelsea would drop out of the top four.
Havertz is valued at £75million but Chelsea would have to match his £90m buy-out clause if they wish to prize him away from the Bundesliga club.
Chelsea are willing to match that fee but would prefer to pay it in installments, says the Daily Mail.
