Chelsea want Lampard succession plan to become future manager

Chelsea are planning to groom Frank Lampard to be their future manager.

The Blues legend made over 600 appearances for the club and has been undertaking his coaching courses over the last 18 months in order to attain his UEFA 'A' licence.

And now The Sun have reported that Chelsea will place Lampard in the backroom staff of the manager who will succeed Antonio Conte.

The manager will then be tasked with guiding and grooming Lampard to become the next manager.

Lampard has rejected offers from MK Dons and Oxford United in order to continue completing his coaching licences. But an offer from the club he loves may prove to good to refuse for the 39-year-old.
